Holiday Baking

Finally I managed to get again in the kitchen and cook something, although it wasn't very intense session, all I did was to bake few biscuits for the holiday ( Happy Eid al Ad'dha), but I feel so satisfied and productive.
(continue reading to see what all I made)

After what it seems like ages of research for which biscuits to put into my list, then finding the recipes, reading them, organize them and of course getting the ingredients; I finally decided on making five types :
-Chocolate crinkles (top-left): hated making these, it didn't come out of the oven like I was hoping, it looked different, but tasted alright. [recipe]

- Chocolate bites with chocolate chips (top-right): this is the 10348 time I'm making these, and I always get the same thing, moist and tender chocolate bites. I just lovemaking them. [recipe]

- Check board cookies (mid-left): horrible recipe from Martha Stewart, I ended up with biscuits that were too crumbly and tasteless. [recipe]

- Sables (mid-right): Buttery and easy to make, and taste ok, I think of them as the perfect tin-filler due to their size . [recipe]

- Ginger beard (bottom): perfect in every way, and I'm so proud of how they look, I hate icing so I had to improvise. [recipe]

then, after I finished the baking , came the fun job of packing everything and making it reading to give away. I'm not sure how the boys in my office will react to the ginger bread men, they seem to think that the are manly men, so the thought of eating such things might be a bit soft for some of them :)
