Yamanote atelier

Not to long ago something amazing happened in my city, the first proper Japanese bakery opened.
Four years ago I had my first taste of a Japanese cake, it was a bite of a vanilla roll cake, but it changed the way I think of cakes; it was fluffy and airy while the cream was so light , the whole thing melted away in my mouth like a piece of cotton candy.

The choices were overwhelming, baskets and baskets filled with baked goodies from twisted doughnuts to totoro shaped buns.
So after what seemed like eternity I chose the following:
Chocolate cornetto (bottom) : cone shaped fluffy bread filled with chocolate custard
Karepan (left): curry filled bread, covered with bread crumbs -panko- and deep fried , I loved it so much the curry was a bit sweet and very meaty, and the crust was so crisp
Anpan (middle): bun filled with red sweet bean -anko-, although I like anko but I found this bread too sweet for me, couldn't finish it
Melopan(right): my favorite, soft bread covered with a layer of cookie , very delicious , not too sweet and bun is so light and airy. I loved it so much
Turkey susage bun (top-right): bun filled with turkey hotdog and covered with panko and deep fried , nice for a sanck
I also had a sugared doughnut, yakisoba pan and totoro shaped pan, but I ate them before I remember to take a picture (tehe :p)
